Opting out of promotional communications does not prevent us from sending essential communications relating to:
- Your account
- Security
- Purchases
- Registered events
- Tickets
- Job applications

- Other necessary service-related matters
Your acceptance of this Privacy Policy does not by itself constitute consent to optional marketing communications, public CV visibility, or promotional use of your image where separate consent is required.
3. Job Applications and CV Visibility
Your CV and professional profile are private by default.
When you apply for a job, the employer or recruiter associated with that job may receive the information you submit as part of your application.
If we provide a separate feature that allows users to make their professional profile visible to verified employers, that visibility will be based on your separate choice. You may change or disable that visibility through the available account settings.
We do not make your CV publicly available merely because you create an account.
An employer or recruiter that receives your application may process your information for its own recruitment purposes and may have its own privacy practices.
If you withdraw your profile visibility or delete your Lipstick Society account, this does not automatically retrieve copies of information that have already been provided to an employer or recruiter.
You may need to contact the relevant employer or recruiter directly regarding information they have already received.
We do not guarantee employment, interviews, job offers, or the actions of third-party employers or recruiters.
If you encounter a suspicious or potentially fraudulent job listing, please contact us using the contact information provided in this Privacy Policy.
Never provide a recruiter, employer, or other person with your banking PIN, account password, OTP, or other confidential payment credentials.

We may photograph or record events and activities for purposes such as documenting events, creating event records, or promoting The Lipstick Society.
Where photography or recording may take place, we will provide a clear event notice where reasonably practical.
We will provide a practical way for participants to communicate that they do not wish to appear in promotional close-up images where applicable.
We will seek appropriate permission before using an identifiable image of a child for promotional purposes.
If an image under our control has been used for promotional purposes and you would like to request its removal, please contact us at: [email protected]
We will consider reasonable removal requests for content under our control.
We cannot guarantee removal of copies that have been independently captured, downloaded, reposted, or shared by other attendees or third parties.
6. Cookies, Analytics and Mobile Permissions
Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to provide essential functionality, maintain sessions, remember preferences, improve security, and understand how the website is used.

- Device information
- Application information
- Usage information
- Diagnostic information
- Approximate location information
- Cookie or similar identifiers
You can manage browser cookies through your browser settings and application permissions through your device settings.

Push notifications can generally be disabled through your device settings.
If we introduce features involving precise location, contacts, advertising identifiers, or cross-application tracking, we will provide appropriate disclosures and obtain permissions or consent where required by applicable law.
7. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, loss, or misuse.
These safeguards may include appropriate access controls, protected transmission, authentication controls, monitoring, and other security measures appropriate to the nature of the information.
However, no method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
If we experience a data security incident that requires notification under applicable law, we will investigate the incident and provide notifications as required.
8. Data Storage and International Transfers
Your information may be processed and stored by us and our service providers in Bangladesh or other countries where our service providers operate.
Where personal information is transferred outside Bangladesh or another jurisdiction in which you are located, we will take reasonable steps to ensure that appropriate safeguards are applied as required by applicable law.
Our service providers are expected to maintain appropriate security measures for information processed on our behalf.

- Establishing, exercising, or defending legal claims
Different categories of information may be retained for different periods.
When personal information is no longer required, we may delete, anonymize, or otherwise securely dispose of it, subject to legal requirements and legitimate operational needs.
Information may remain temporarily in secure backups after deletion until those backups are routinely overwritten or deleted.
Information already provided to an independent employer, recruiter, organizer, or other third party may remain under that party's control and may be subject to its own retention practices.
10. Your Privacy Rights and Choices
Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to:

When we receive a valid deletion request, we will take reasonable steps to delete or anonymize personal information that we control, subject to information that we are required or permitted to retain for legitimate legal, security, accounting, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution purposes.
Deleting your account does not automatically delete information that has already been provided to an independent employer, recruiter, event organizer, or other third party. You may need to contact those parties directly regarding information they retain.
12. Children and Minors
The Lipstick Society's accounts, job features, professional networking features, and general community services are intended for adults 18 years of age or older.
Children should not create accounts or independently submit personal information to The Lipstick Society.
A parent or legal guardian may provide limited information about a child when registering the child for an activity specifically designed for children or families.
If we learn that a child has independently provided personal information without appropriate parental or guardian involvement, we will review the situation and take reasonable steps to delete the information where appropriate.
Parents or guardians who have concerns about information provided by a child may contact us at: [email protected]
13. Third-Party Websites and Services
Our website or applications may contain links to third-party websites, applications, social networks, payment providers, employers, event organizers, or other services.
If you follow a third-party link or choose to use a third-party service, that service may collect and process information under its own privacy policy.
We do not control the privacy practices of independent third parties and encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing them with personal information.
For example, if you voluntarily join a WhatsApp group associated with an event or community activity, WhatsApp and other group participants may be able to see information made available through your WhatsApp account according to your WhatsApp settings.
14. Employers, Recruiters and Independent Organizers
Some services connect users with independent employers, recruiters, event organizers, instructors, venues, or other partners.
These parties may process information they receive from The Lipstick Society according to their own privacy practices and legal obligations.
The Lipstick Society is not responsible for the independent privacy practices of third parties that receive information directly from you or through a service you choose to use.

Opting out of promotional communications does not prevent essential service communications.
16. Business Transfers
If The Lipstick Society or substantially all of its assets are involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, sale, transfer, or similar transaction, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
Where required, we will provide appropriate notice before information becomes subject to a materially different privacy policy.
